Cookie Policy — Inburger A1

Last updated: 2026-07-11

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies Inburger A1 uses, why we use them, and what choices you have. It is a supplement to our Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie?

A "cookie" is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Modern browsers and mobile apps also use related storage mechanisms like localStorage, sessionStorage, and IndexedDB. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

What we use

Inburger A1 uses the minimum storage required to function. We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies. We do not have a cookie banner because we do not set non-essential cookies without your explicit consent.

Strictly necessary (always active, no consent required under GDPR Article 6(1)(f))

Name Type Purpose Duration
current_profile localStorage Remember which profile is active (multi-profile users) Until you delete app data
<profile>:lezen_state_v1 localStorage Per-profile reading mastery progress Until reset
<profile>:stats_v2 localStorage Per-profile session history Until reset
<profile>:aanvul_srs_v1 localStorage Per-profile aanvulzin progress Until reset
<profile>:exam_date localStorage Your saved target exam date Until reset
inburger_subscription_v1 localStorage Cached subscription tier (validated server-side) Until subscription expires or reset
migration_v3_profiles localStorage Internal one-time data migration flag Permanent

These cookies are essential to deliver the features you actively use. Without them the app cannot remember your progress between sessions.

Functional (active if you opt in)

None currently.

Analytics / Marketing

None. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising trackers, or any third-party analytics.

Optional crash reporting (if enabled)

If you opt in to anonymous crash reporting (Settings > Privacy):

Name Type Purpose Duration
sentry_session_id localStorage Tie a crash report to a session 24h

This is opt-in only and stores anonymous data only.

Cookies set by payment processors

When you make a purchase, you are redirected to Stripe Checkout (web) or interact with Apple App Store / Google Play (mobile). Those services set their own cookies governed by their own policies:

We do not control those cookies. They are not set in our app/site directly.

Cookies set by Anthropic (AI grading)

When you submit an answer for AI grading, the request goes to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic may set transient cookies during the API request. We have no control over those.
